Intellectual awareness is must.

Sometimes, I think Muslims live in some sort of fairytale where they imagine that to be a good Muslim, we all have to be pushovers.  I understand that we must be kind, and loving and compassionate - to an extent.  But I also believe that we sometimes have to be harsh, and brutal and ruthless.  We are not shrinking violets.  If some of these "religious" Muslims were to read the sirah, the tarikh or any manaqib, their hair would stand.  And it is obvious that most Muslims do not know their religion or their history. The companions were not one big loving family.  They were people.  'Aishah (r.a.) and 'Ali (k.w.) had a fight.  Khalid ibn al-Walid (r.a.) incurred the ire of 'Umar (r.a.).  ibn 'Umar (r.a.) disagreed with his father.  Hudzayfah (r.a.) argued with 'Umar (r.a.).  'Ali (k.w.) and Mu'awiyah (r.a.), 'Amr ibn al-'Aasw (r.a.) and 'Ali (k.w.), Abu Hurayrah (r.a.) and 'Aishah (r.a.)... the list goes on and on and on. Imam ibn al...

Prophet Poison & Black Magic

Once again, Prophet Under Attack by 'Holy Narrators' (issue of effect of poison on Prophet): When you look in the books of Seerah you will find that they have tried to prove that Prophet (ﷺ) died as a martyr. The reason they have is, Prophet used to say in his last time that I can feel the effect of poison which was given to me on Khaybar. How far is it true? It is one of the well-known miracles of Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon Him and His Family) that poison didn't harm him. There are several narrations tells us about this incident. I shall only mention one of them: "Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA): When Khaibar was conquered, a roasted poisoned sheep was presented to the Prophet (ﷺ) as a gift (by the Jews). The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered, "Let all the Jews who have been here, be assembled before me." ...... He (ﷺ) asked, "Have you poisoned this sheep?" They said, "Yes." He (ﷺ) asked, "What made you do so?" They said, "We...

Hadith of Izar

~ Beware!  It's Not only about Moosa a.s, but Prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihi wa sallam) too..~ Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah : While Allah's Messenger was carrying stones along with the people of Makkah for (building of) Kaaba wearing an Izar (waist sheet cover), his uncle Abbas said to him " O my nephew !  (it would be better) if you take off your Izar and put it over your shoulders underneath the stones " . So he took off his Izar and put it over his shoulders, but he fell down unconscious and since then he had never been seen naked (after that day) [ Bukhari, 1/82 # 364, Muslim, 1/286 # 77(340)] Different versions : "... He fell on the ground with his eyes (open) towards the sky and said  " give me my Izar "  and he covered himself with it. [  Bukhari, 2/146 # 1582 ] .. " when he woke up, he said ' my Izar, my Izar.!  Then his Izar was tied upon him.." [ Bukhari, 5/41 # 3829 ; Muslim, 1/267 # 76(340)] - Some narrations says ...
