Prophet Poison & Black Magic
Once again, Prophet Under Attack by 'Holy Narrators' (issue of effect of poison on Prophet):
When you look in the books of Seerah you will find that they have tried to prove that Prophet (ﷺ) died as a martyr. The reason they have is, Prophet used to say in his last time that I can feel the effect of poison which was given to me on Khaybar.
How far is it true?
It is one of the well-known miracles of Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon Him and His Family) that poison didn't harm him. There are several narrations tells us about this incident. I shall only mention one of them:
"Narrated by Abu Hurairah (RA): When Khaibar was conquered, a roasted poisoned sheep was presented to the Prophet (ﷺ) as a gift (by the Jews). The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered, "Let all the Jews who have been here, be assembled before me." ...... He (ﷺ) asked, "Have you poisoned this sheep?" They said, "Yes." He (ﷺ) asked, "What made you do so?" They said, "We wanted to know if you were a liar in which case we would get rid of you, and if you are a prophet then the poison would not harm you." [1]
This Hadith can be found with different chains and with different wordings in the works of Bukhari, Abu Dawud, Ahmad, Tabrani, Darmi, al-Hakim etc but all of them are agreed upon the reason given by Jews that they wanted to know if Prophet (SAW) is a liar in which case he will die with the effect of poison and if Prophet (SAW) is a real Prophet then the poison would not harm him."
On the other hand, unfortunately, we have so-called 'authentic' narrations from 'Most authentic' books which say that he got affected by poison.
Narrated 'Aisha (RA): "The Prophet (ﷺ) in his ailment in which he died, used to say, "O `Aisha! I still feel the pain caused by the food I ate at Khaibar, and at this time, I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison." [2]
Similar narrations can be found in Sunan Abu Dawud [3] and other sources like Haakim, Tabrani, Ibn e Sa'd.
So lets reflect upon this issue. According to most Authentic books of narrations, Jews said: If you are truthful, it shall not harm you. And according to the same books Prophet (SAW) said: "I feel as if my aorta is being cut from that poison."
Ask yourselves. What does it prove?
Quran at several places challenges kuffar that you cannot harm Prophet in this manner which kills him and Allah himself Protects him.
Allah says in Quran:
- And Allah will (Himself) protect your (life) from the (hostile) people. Surely, Allah does not show the path of guidance to those who disbelieve. (5:67)
- Except for Him (Allah), join in to hatch (some) plot against me, all of you (including your false gods), then grant me no respite (as well). (11:55)
- Say: ‘(O disbelievers!) Call your (false) partners (for my destruction). Then execute (your) plot against me and do not give me any respite. (7:195)
My friends, if you are saying that Prophet (SAW) got martyred, then it does not prove any high rank of Prophet (SAW), rather it places his Prophethood under suspicion and also proves these verses wrong. It means Allah failed to Protect him and He couldn't keep his promise.
Other narrations narrated by Bayhaqi even tell us that the sheep itself spoke (as a miracle) that I am poisoned. Yet Prophet (SAW) eats it. Surely He wanted to show a sign of his Prophethood. But if you say that He got effected by this then dear it is a serious 'epic fail' on behalf of Prophet. Further, He (SAW) trusted Allah that He will save him. It means Allah also failed him.
Some Narrations from al-Bazzar and al-Haakim also tell us that Prophet (SAW) said to his Companions "اذكروا اسم الله وكلوا فلم يضر أحدا منا شيئا"
"Take the name of Allah and eat it, it will not harm you a bit."
Ask yourself, how can poison effect him?
Finally, I would like to draw your attention to this point. Jews attacked Prophet by two things:
1. Magic
2. Poison
And a very famous narration tell us that:
"Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said, "Whoever takes seven 'Ajwa dates in the morning will not be affected by magic or poison on that day." [4]
And narrations want us to believe that He actually got affected by both, the magic as well as poison. :)))
My friends, it becomes clear that Jews and anti-Islam elements are behind these narrations. They tried to assassinate Prophet in his life time, you think they would have stopped after his departure? No !
So they further fabricated stuff to corrupt your belief and they have forced you to believe in them because they know you are so dumb that You will insult your Prophet, You will accept that he became impotent with magic and lost his mind, and he died with poison as 'Shaheed', but you are never going to accept that Your so-and-so Imam or so-and-so narrator have made mistake. So they have made you accept this filth even if Quran speaks the opposite.
A lot can be said about it but I leave it here with the hope that you will stop insulting Your Prophet under the shelter of narrators and egos of your idols.
And We learn that:
- Always compare narrations with Quran because most authentic sources of narrations contain such seriously problematic stuff.
- Consequences of shutting down reason while dealing with narrations.
