Zakir naik False propaganda on Mawlid

Why we should not listen unqualified men like #Zakir_Naik on the topic of #Mawlid_un_Nabiﷺ?

Zakir Naik says:
✏ Eid Milad is not in Islamic Shariah, it was later introduced by Shia Fatimid in Egypt.

Answer:
The Shia he is referring to was actually the brother in law of Salahuddin Ayyubi and was a Sunni King, who was praised by all four Madhabs for his actions.

Zakir Naik says:
✏ Historians differed about the date of birth of Prophet SAW. Some said it's in Ramadan, some in Shabaan and Some said its in Rabi ul awal.

Answer:
The Wahabi/Salafi have no consensus in this and are split but Ahle Sunnah Wal Jamm'ah and the Mujaddid Imam Jalal ad-din as-Suyuti رحمتہ اللہ علیہ has said Rabi ul awal.

Zakir Naik says:
✏ How can a Muslim rejoice and have party when on 12th Rabi al Awal our prophet died?

Answer:
The great Scholars of Islam have clarified that commemorating the Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم birth is the essence of the Sharia and a fundamental requirement of human nature, whilst expressing grief upon Holy Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم passing is against the Sharia and contrary to Islam's immutable principles. Imam Suyuti رحمتہ اللہ علیہ concerning this principle, states:

"Certainty, the Prophet’s صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم birth is the greatest bounty upon us, and his passing is the worst calamity to afflict us. The Sacred Law encourages us to be thankful for bounties and to observe patience, resignation, and tranquillity with calamities. The Law Giver has commanded us to perform the aqīqa ceremony when a child is born, and that is in order to show gratitude and happiness for the newborn child, but he has not ordered us to sacrifice an animal or do anything of that nature when a child dies. In fact, He has forbidden the act of wailing and showing displeasure (with the divine decree). Therefore, the principles of Sacred Law indicate that in this month, it is praiseworthy to express happiness with the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم birth, and it has not indicated that it is praiseworthy to express sadness with his صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم passing."

Zakir Naik says:
✏ Birthday celebration have pagan roots. Celebrating birthdays is not allowed at all.

Answer:
The Term "Mawlid" is a Qur'anic discourse in Surah Al-Maryam and Allāhسبحانه و تعالى send Salamz to the Prophet’s عليه السلام on the days they were born. Also their is not a single scrap of evidence to deem Birthday's as Haram.

Zakir Naik says:
✏ This celebration is neither from Sunnah nor Qur'an. Anything that is not part of these two can not be part of Islam...
the Prophet SAW said, "Stick to my sunnah and the sunnah of my rightly guided Caliphs, beware of Newly invented matters, for every new matter is Bid'ah and every Bid'ah is misleading.
(Tirmizi 2676)"

Answer:
In this verse, Allāh سبحانه و تعالى is addressing the beloved Prophet ﷺ that his noble Companions, and in turn the whole Ummah, should be informed that Allāh سبحانه و تعالى blessing which descended upon them in the form of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ should be celebrated jubilantly as much as possible. The obtaining of this blessing is a communal one, and so it should be celebrated by the community on a collective basis. As the injunction is to rejoice, this can only be done either by commemorating the blessing as a day of festivity (Eid), or by holding a celebration. This verse is therefore clear in its inference that the Muslims should commemorate the day of his birth by taking it as a day of happiness and joy (i.e., as a day of Eid).

"(All this) is due to the bounty and mercy of Allāh (bestowed upon you through raising Muhammad ﷺ as the exalted Messenger). So the Muslims should rejoice over it. This is far better than (all that affluence and wealth) that they amass."

- Qur'an Surah 10. Yunus, Ayah 58

What Zakir Naik has done here in his above statement is Ghibat against all those Ulema that passed Permissibility namely, Imam Ibn Hajar al-Asqalani رحمتہ اللہ علیہ, Imam Suyuti رحمتہ اللہ علیہ who was a Mujaddid, Ibn Jawzi and many many more (Nauzubillah Min Zalik). Not only is this implicit Shirk but this action can also be deemed as mocking Scholars and Rasul'Allahﷺ has said,

"He who Mocks Scholars will lose their Religion (Deen)".

Zakir Naik says:
✏ Allah says in [Surah al Maidah 3].
"This day I have perfected your religion for you."
When Islam is perfect and complete then who gave the authority to these people to introduce new things in Islam?

Answer:
The Qur'an was not compiled into one book at the time of the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم and was done under the instructions of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr as-Siddiq رضي الله عنه so why did he introduce a new thing?

Also if we look at Ibn Rajab al-Hanbali رحمتہ اللہ علیہ definition of Bid'ah we will see how wrong Zakir Naik is. (He should have checked what his own Scholars have said first).

Zakir Naik says:
✏ Celebrating milaad is imitation of Christians and Jews. Jews celebrate birthday of Uzair, Christians celebrate birthday of Esa AS.
while the Prophet Saw said, "Whoever imitates a people becomes one of them. (Abu Dawood)"

Answer:
The Hafiz of his era, Shaykh al-Islam Abu al-Fadl b. Hajar al-Asqalani, was asked about the practice of Mawlid and he replied with the following statement:

It has come to my attention that there is an established basis for it, which can be found in the Sahīhayn that the Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم entered Medina, and he found Jews fasting Yawm 'Āshūrā'. He asked them about it, and they replied,

"It is the day when Allāh drowned the Pharaoh and saved Mūsā عليه السلام. So we fast this day out of gratitude to Allāh."

The act of thanking Almighty Allāh for a favour which He bestowed on a specific day, either by conferring a blessing or warding off tribulation and to bring up the likes of that day each year, can be deduced from it.

Gratitude to Almighty Allāh can be obtained through a variety of worships, such as prostrating, fasting, giving charity, and reciting Qur'an. And which blessing can be greater than the blessing of the appearance of this Prophet صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم, who is the Prophet of mercy, on that day?

Zakir Naik says:
✏ Prophet SAW said, "Be different from Mushrikeen. (Sahih Muslim)"

Answer:
Indeed he did. Yet you pass unqualified opinions and this is an act of Khawārij. So the Hadith the was narrated by Ibn Umar رضي الله عنه that Rasul'Allahﷺ has said,

"He who Imitates any people (in their actions) is considered to be ONE of them,"  fits Zakir Naik perfectly.

Zakir Naik says :
✏ Prophet SAW said "Do not exaggerate in praising me."

Answer:
This was meant for those who called Hazrat Isa عليه السلام the Son of God. We do no such thing. And Rasul'Allahﷺ has said,

"Do not speak with a statement that you may have to apologise tomorrow."

#Conclusion:-
As everyone can see the fatal mistakes of following unqualified individuals. Learn to respect the difference of opinion as opposed to attack as it could be you who has to apologise in the end.

May Allāh سبحانه و تعالى protect the believer's from the protestant disease that has plagued the Ummah today.
